The information on this page is mostly about Early Intervention in Psychosis Services in Sussex. This is because it is the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust that has been running the EYE (Early Youth Engagement in First Episode Psychosis) project and has developed the EYE project website.

However, there are lots of other Early Intervention Services around the country. If you don’t live in Sussex, you can find out more about what is available in your local area by asking your local GP or by visiting the website below. Please note, the website below isn’t run by us, (it’s a different NHS group), so we can’t guarantee its accuracy. If you’re in any doubt just ask your GP.

Sussex Early Intervention Teams

There are six early intervention teams in Sussex. They each see people from a different geographical area. The right one for you will depend on where you live. There are two teams in East Sussex, one in Brighton and Hove and three in West Sussex.

You can find more about Sussex Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service on their website at

If you are worried about yourself or someone you know, you or your family/friends can call the Early Intervention Service directly. Just phone the number for your area and someone from the team will be able to advise you. If you don’t want to phone directly, you can go and see your GP, and they will help.

The services operate from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

If you need to speak to someone out of these hours please phone Sussex Partnership Mental Healthline on 0300 5000 101.

There are also lots of other phone numbers and self-help information on the ‘Get Help Now’ page.
